Adds AI CodeOps (https://aicodeops.dev) to Active projects › Applications › DevOps, in alphabetical order between agola and ai-git-bot.
AI CodeOps is a browser-based platform where AI agents plan, build, review and test code on a team's repository; a pull request only opens after the team's tests pass on the exact commit, the AI review has no high/critical findings, and a person approves. It supports self-hosted Gitea (and Forgejo) through a personal access token. Free during the open beta and free for non-commercial open source.
Disclosure: I work on AI CodeOps.

Adds Pethost to Cloud Providers (alphabetical, between Linode and Sealos), as asked in gitea/docs#591 when the cloud providers moved here.
The link is Pethost's one-click Gitea template (`gitea/gitea:28-rootless`, SQLite; source: https://github.com/pethost-dev/templates/tree/main/gitea). It creates the administrator from the username, email and password given at deploy time, sets `DISABLE_REGISTRATION=true`, and serves Git over SSH on port 2222.
Guidelines checked: one link, sorted alphabetically, description on the same line ending with a period.

Adds gitea-board-badges to the Plugins section (alphabetical, between Gitea-Anchorpoint and Gitea CAD Viewer).
gitea-board-badges is a single custom template (templates/custom/footer.tmpl) that shows the project board column of every issue in Gitea's issue lists as a coloured badge, and adds a "Status" dropdown to the filter bar to filter the whole list by board column. MIT licensed, read-only, no external requests, tested with Gitea 28.2.0.

Adds a GitHub-style theme (light, dark and auto) built from Primer Primitives and Octicons, with a few template overrides. One package works on both Gitea 1.27.x and 28.x. MIT licensed.
Named `mechiland/GitHub` to tell it apart from the other GitHub-style entries, following the `pat-s/GitHub` pattern.

Adds teacli to Active projects > Applications > Command Line.
teacli is a non-interactive CLI for Gitea and Forgejo: no prompts or confirmations, text output by default with `--format json` for machine-readable output, and errors mapped onto documented exit codes, so it can be driven from scripts, CI jobs and agents.

I built this so I can notorize mac apps in my Gitea Actions.
It allows you to host a Gitea Runner on your Apple Hardware using Lume.
It creates and runs fresh macOS virtual machines on Apple Silicon, enabling Gitea Actions workflows to build and test Xcode and other macOS projects in isolated environments.
![CleanShot 2026-08-07 at [email protected]](/attachments/ac5b91a5-c7c3-4646-88c0-c4a049716878)
Once installed you can run jobs:
```yaml
jobs:
test:
runs-on: xcode-16
steps:
- uses: actions/checkout@v4
- run: swift test
```
It starts a brand new macOS VM, does the action jobs, then destroys the VM, meaning you have a clean mac environment for every job.

Minos is a free, open-source (AGPL-3.0) iOS client for reviewing and merging pull requests, with first-class support for self-hosted Forgejo/Gitea/Codeberg alongside GitHub. The app talks only to the git backend you supply — there's no middleman server and it never phones home — and your access token stays in the device Keychain. Adds Gitea CAD Viewer to the active Plugins section.
What it is:
Gitea CAD Viewer is a self-hosted read-only preview integration for DWG and DXF files in Gitea. It adds a CAD Preview button to Gitea file pages and serves a same-origin browser viewer through a Node.js backend and Nginx route, without upload, save-back, or external preview service requirements.
Update:
This branch has been rebased on current `gitea/awesome-gitea:main` after Gitea ONLYOFFICE Bridge was merged in #189. The PR now keeps the accepted ONLYOFFICE entry and adds Gitea CAD Viewer as the next separate plugin entry, so it no longer competes for the same line.

This PR reorganizes the awesome list in README.md by maintenance status: Active projects, Unmaintained, and Archived.
It also updates the table of contents and moves previously symbol-tagged entries into their matching sections for better readability.
Finally, .markdownlint.yaml disables MD024 to allow repeated subsection headings across those status groups.
